German measles
General information
The goal of a vaccination is to reduce the number of rubella embryopathies. The number of rubella embryopathies dropped in the last years. It must be noted, however, that today’s prenatal diagnostics detects rubella embryopathies before birth. These embryos are generally aborted and do not appear in the statistics. So it only leads to a seeming success of vaccination programs for German measles (rubella). .(Martin Hirte: Impfen: Pro & Contra, S. 225)
